Phase 2 is complete! Now what?

Through your generosity, and the hard work of WSU Children's Center families, friends, and teachers, funding for Phase 1 and 2 of the Children's Center Playground are COMPLETE! Thank you to everyone who has supported us through donations as well as helping us share this fundraiser. We could not have done this without the help of our families, community, and the organizations who awarded us grants.

Phase 1 construction (Infant/Toddler Playground) was just completed! Check out the photos to see what we added.

Phase 2 (Pre-K/School Age Playground) is up next in 2024! We are thrilled to have a new space for these kids.

While most of our fundraising is complete, we are leaving this page up to help raise funds for additional playground equipment such as swings and saucer spinners! Thank you for your support!

Your Donation Supports PLAY

Together with the WSU Outdoor Education Center the outdoor environment and developmentally appropriate play equipment will support WSU students as they gain the required skills to complete degrees in the field of Early Childhood and Elementary Education and Physical Education and Sport Science (PESS). Hear from parents and teachers how the Children's Center has impacted their lives.

The WSU Children’s Center is raising funds to enhance the outdoor learning spaces to meet the developmental needs of young children ages infant through 8 yrs. The play spaces will be used by approximately 80-100 children to foster balance, coordination and the social skills that are encouraged by cooperative play.

Support AND Own A Piece Of History

The WSU Children's Center has a limited number of historic Lincoln School tiles that can be acquired through a $75 donation. If you're interested in the tiles, please contact Karen Sullivan or 507.457.5368

Help Us Update This Facility

You contribution will live on to create space and purchase modern equipment to allow children to build a foundation of movement, creativity, and connection for future generations. The WSU Children’s Center and the surrounding neighborhood surrounding the university will build community partnerships with children & families.
